When he was a child, they thought his wonder for fire would disappear after the tragic accident that took away his family. They were wrong. 
For Phillip, the beauty of the world was warm to the touch, had a patternless dancing motion and a very bright red color. The mesmerizing light of flames, the hypnotic crackling of wood underneath the blaze, it was already beautiful when it came from torches and flints. But when it was conjured out of thin air, with pure blissful magic? It was immaculate perfection. 
He tried to keep it in, bury the urge under other types of magic, but the fire would always come back to him. Untainted. Holy. And Phillip wanted to see the whole world burn.
